“My own apartment overlooks the mouth of the Neponset River and the unpretentious but charming 19 century Milton Yacht Club.
From the tall and wide windows I would sit for hours watching the coming and goings of small sail craft following the water way through miles of marsh lands bound for the open sea and the tides coming and going added to the scene. The large 1800 square foot apartment with its two bedrooms offered ample wall space to accommodate my art collection. I installed custom bookcases in the main room at both ends of the living room at the sitting area flanking the fireplace and at the far end, in the dining area, I added further builtin bookcases surrounding an ample bay window and there added a Knole sofa creating a quiet reading area. Of all sofa forms the Knole sofa is my favorite, this one custom made to fit inside the bay window. A long gallery/hall connects all rooms and was the perfect space to display framed art.
The guest room serves the dual purpose of being both home office and guest room.”
